Image to Story homework

Read Being a Writer (pages 34 to 41 and pages 367-372). We will have a quiz on the second part at the beginning of class on Wed, 13 October.

After you finish the reading, generate an image of something involved in your discipline. This could be anything—an object, a person, a building—but be sure to use the imagination techniques we tried in class. Then ask yourself "what comes next?" Write a story about that image.

Your story should be at least one page, typed (12 point font, double-spaced), but can be as long as it needs to be. Don't worry about the revision process at this point: just type it out, re-read it and correct for grammar/spelling errors, and bring it to class.
