This course helps enhance the writing skills you will need in and beyond college. Our writing will move from expressive to informative, exploring the concepts of self and community in a variety of methods; we will also explore community by means of collaborative work on both small and large scales. Over the term, you will "map" your relationship with four different institutions of culture: discipline (career), family, entertainment, and community. While doing so, we will explore writing processes and mechanics, covering as many aspects of writing for public and private spaces as we can.
