Assessment Philosophy:
In an ideal world, grades should serve as a communication space between the instructor and the student. In most grading situtations, I will provide written feedback as well as a score—if you are unclear about my reasoning for your grade, please contact me. I encourage you to consider my comments carefully—they are the meat of your assessment. The grade is window dressing.
