Extra Credit

During the semester, I will offer a few extra credit opportunities. These can be used in one of two ways:

To 'excuse' one absence from the semester. Great if you have three absences and stand to lose 75 points.
To earn a few extra points to cover for missed day-to-day assignments

Please note, however, that the amount of time involved in extra credit assignments usually out-paces the amount of time involved in doing the day-to-day assignments.

Convergence 2: Due 11 Dec
Attend one of the convergence2 events at the School of the Art Institute and write a short response to it. See the assignment sheet for more details.
Game Studies Report: Due 4 Dec
Read one article from the journal Game Studies and prepare a 5-10 minute presentation on it. See the assignment sheet for more details.
First extra-credit assignment: Due 2 October
When you read and survey your three articles, be sure to include all the information on the assignment page. When I grade the responses, for each of your articles that is unique (that no-one else read and reported), you will receive 2 bonus points.
