Game Studies Extra Credit

Read one article from the online academic journal Game Studies and prepare a 5-10 minute presentation about it. To participate in this extra credit assignment, you must follow these steps:

  1. Email Brendan with 3 articles you would like to report on, in order of preference. I encourage you to look through the archive and choose an article that interests you.
  2. After you get your assignment, read the article carefully and prepare a 5-10 minute presentation for the class. Your presentation should give the class an idea about the general argument of the article--what was the author saying? How did they support their argument? You should also include your own assessment of the article--did it convince you? Did it have major gaps or flaws? What insights did you gain from reading it?
  3. Presentations including handouts or visual aids will receive higher scores.

This extra credit presentation is worth up to 30 points, and will be given in class on 4 December or 11 December.
