Response to Brooks and Carroll

1. What elements of Brooks' narrative draw on the tropes we've seen thus far? What are new?

Describe Carroll's general argument. Does Return of the Living Dead contradict the argument or support it? Where is the line between the horrific and the humorous? Are zombies funny or scary? How does Shaun of the Dead fit in here?
