Response to Larkin and Walker
Larkin wrestles with the idea that we fear zombies because we worry about being zombies, despite the fact that the films usually dehumanize the ghouls. What do you think of Larkin's idea?
Walker, by contrast, uses Dawn of the Dead to suggest that in consumerist America, we're already zombies. Compare his discussion of who the zombies are (and what they want) to Larkin's. Where do they overlap? Where do they diverge?
