Homework for 14 March

Read chapters 5 and 6 of The Craft of Research. As you read, think about the question below.

  1. In Chapter 5, the authors describe a number of different kinds of sources. Choose one category of sources they describe, summarize its description, and give an example of a source that would be in that category.

When you're done reading, type out your answer to email or turn in. As you do your research for your project, compile a list of your sources for your Works Cited page. Type a list of at least 3 sources to class on Monday.

Your list of sources should include proper citation information for the works (a citation is an entry that tells the reader what work you're referring to, and where they can find it). You can find MLA citation information in your copy of A Writer's Resource or here. If you aren't sure how to format the list of sources, just do your best.
