36-1100: Game Culture

Identifying Cultural Models

With a group of four classmates, discuss the key aspects of a game you're all familiar with. Have one person take notes as you discuss what cultural models inform the creation of the game. Be sure to consider the characters, the narrative, the gameplay, and the aesthetic look and feel of the game. As a group, decide on one shift you could make to the game that would fundamentally change the primary model/models informing it.

Take notes on the conversation and put your names on the note sheet--I'll ask you to turn it in at the end of class.
