Blogging Beats

When reporters cover the same topic regularly, they call that topic their beat. (I they got the term from police officers, who often have an assigned neighborhood, called their beat.) As a member of this class, you will be assigned a blog to cover each month. This blog, your beat, should be the primary source of your posts to GameCultureWatch. If you find yourself without something to write about, you may post on other topics, but you should concentrate on reporting about the blog you're covering.

Of course, if you make more than one post each week, you may use your extra posts to explore whatever topics interest you.

New assignments:
For each period you will be assigned one of the blogs in the "Under Watch" categories. If you find that your assigned blog is not ACTIVE, email me and we'll change your assignment. NOTE: disliking a blog does not justify changing your assignment.

Adding blogs:
At the beginning of each writing period, we can add or shift blogs around on our list. If you have proposals for blogs that should be moved to 'under watch' or added to our list entirely, let me know. NOTE: suggesting that we add a blog to 'under watch' does not guarantee that you will get to cover that blog.

The link to your beat can be found on Game Culture Watch
