This course is divided into two sections. The first part of each class focuses on exploring and thinking about new media. We will be reading, watching, and interacting with a variety of texts in order to understand the way writing changes when it becomes multi-modal. We will also learn techniques and strategies for hypertext authorship.
The second part of each class focuses on a sustained collaborative effort to create a large multimedia project. Our class will divide into two groups to work on multimedia projects over the course of the semester. These projects will be aimed at public spaces and exhibition beyond the end of the course.
